Majorette Pompier Fire Truck... Just found this one in my collection and have no idea where or when it came from. I don't collect Majorette or ever remember buying any. The nozzle and lift is adjustable...
This is an interesting example. I searched all over and the white version is apparently scarce.
On top of that, Im unable to locate any pics or even mention of this model having that wheel type.
Neat model, thanks for showing it, Don't know anything about it, other than it's a great old Majorette American LaFrance fire truck, only have red so far, so haven't seen it in white, and my red ones just have the ladder on it, not the water cannon like this one.
1990s? I think. Usually, this casting was seen with a ladder. Yet, it's also had the Tele-Squirt and Snorkel booms in later issues. There was also a militarized version with a missile launcher system, gear racks, and camo paint.
Mine came in a two-pack (part of a series of "Fire Zone" twinpacks). Here's a picture:
The wheels on mine are different ("8-dot" I think they're called?)...so I don't know if it was ever released as a single with those wheels, or they ran out of those wheels making the twinpacks?
I have 6 different "Fire Zone" two-packs (shown on Swifty's years ago)...I saw more in the single store I found mine in during the 80s (or very early 90s?) but they just had different combos of the same vehicles...and one 'problem' with even the 6 I have is that aside from the fire engines (all different), the second vehicle was repeated in a couple. (I found mine in a two-or-three story toy store on Pioneer Square in Seattle...never saw any of them anywhere else...so I'm very happy I was smart enough to buy the six variations I did on that particular day...)
OOPS! Only three of my two-packs have 'fire engines' in them, the other three have different combos of emergency transport vehicles including some I never saw as singles anywhere...my bad and idiocy not going and paying attention to what I had hanging on the wall in my toy room...
Second edit: only one vehicle is duplicated in the 6 sets I have...the Jeep Cherokee--same exact livery in two of the sets...and I think it was included in another unpurchased set in the same store.
I'm wearing out my "edit" button....I call these 'two packs' because of the number of VEHICLES in each...but obviously, these might better be called 'playsets' on a single blister card...or multi-blister card like the one I showed above...each has a 'fire helmet' (one with French style) or a badge, one has a giant fire hydrant and extinguisher, and all include two figures in 4 styles.
Maybe I should just post a new thread with all my sets....
The fire zone models were still showing up in some stores in the early 2000's - might have been surplus stock - as I recall seeing them in a ND farm store chain called Home of Economy. I do not have the tele-squirt version - like so much else it is on the never ending want list.

I think you're more right than me...I kinda forgot that 2000 was TWENTY(!!!) years ago...and I'm only sure I found all the sets before I moved from AK to ID...but on one of my annual trips to the "L48" ("lower 48 states" of the union) during my Alaska years. So, I may not have purchased these until after 2000....I didn't move to Idaho until 2005, officially. ("Unofficially" in 2002...I was "detailed" into a temp position at the National Fire Center that year...and it turned into a permanent job by 2005.)
