Snarfed these today on my lunch hour. The new ones have been on the radar screen since they came out. The VW pizza van has been on the wish list for a long time, and the Ford Prefect just looked right.

Always like seeing those old regular wheels models find their way into a fellow collector's collection. The Ford Prefect looks to be in excellent condition, I would say you had a very good lunch break. Seeing the pizza van - did you by chance have pizza for lunch?
Thanks for the comments. The Ford is super nice, but the photos make it look not so hot (what else is new?). It looks great in the hand (IMHO), but here are the larger-than-life photos with warts and all...try squinting?
The pizza van is in nice shape. Did not have time to eat lunch as I was concentrating on shopping!
The Bimmer was fun to get. No idea why, but passed it up multiple times at shows. Used to drive a 1971 2002 (what a roach!), so it really made no sense. I think the difference today was that they were already out of the blister packs, and I didn't have to be the one to release them, so they were perfect for my lifestyle. Very pleased to get the 2002. May have to corral my BMWs (not that many - maybe six or so) and do a group shot at some point.
I think Matchbox has done a real nice job with these.
The headlights are a tad small, but amazed that a W123 Mercedes was created by Matchbox. How many million of these were made from 1977 to 1985?
