Dan, to switch tires on AW's , you got to separate the body and chassis. Get a drill bit slightly larger than the two lugs holding the body/chassis together. Carefully drill into the lugs until the chassis is loose. You might need to move up a size bit or two and redrill. Switch the chassis and glue back together using super glue or Flex Glue.Comment

All the wheel swaps I've done on the AWs Daniel, I just had to remove the tire from the wheels and pry the wheel hubs loose from the axle. I haven't had to drill one yet. Some take a little more tinkering than others though. Remember these pics I posted on Swifty's about 100 years ago, long before AW hit the scene, of these two size pry, screw drivers I cut slots in. They still work great!!!
