  • Tomica North America - Wave 3?

Spotted at Walmart today, three models that have not been (to the best of my knowledge) featured before. There's been no news on this third release, so I wonder what else is in it?

Wow... Nice! But I don't have a clue, as I've not even seen the 1st or 2nd wave anywhere.
I collect what I like, and I like what I collect.

Have seen the second wave in one Wal Mart in my area - others no longer even have peg space for them. Will hope this particular store gets the next wave with the police car.

It's been almost a month since the above post was made. Is this all there is for Tomica at Walmart? I actually only found models from Wave #3 and no police car at that. It will never fly this way, Orville!

My most recent visits to the three Wal-Marts in the Bismarck area found the latest Tomica, including the police car, at two of the three. The smaller, non super store did not have them and to my knowledge never has. They are in the same area as M2, and when they have them Johnny Lightning and Auto World so at least in the area as the other higher priced diecast items.

Tomica USA has announced Wave 4 will hit soon. They posted a sneak peek on Facebook that reveals the numbers... 107, 75, 93, and I can't make out the last one - maybe 11_?

                  Wave 1
                  6 Subaru BRZ
                  23 Nissan GT-R
                  24 Mazda CX-5
55 Isuzu Giga Fried Potato Car
76 Toyota Prius PHV GR Sport
                  109 Suzuki Swift Sport

                  Wave 2
                  3 Animal Transporter
                  13 Lexus RC F
                  48 Nissan Note
                  70 Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV
                  78 Subaru Impreza
                  94 Toyota C-HR

                  Wave 3
                  14 Suzuki Jimny
85 Mitsubishi Fuso Super Great (container truck)
                  92 Toyota Crown Athlete
                  105 Nissan GT-R Police Car

I still wish they had better distribution than just Walmart. Availability is terrible.

11 would make sense as it is Enzo Ferrari and would be popular. I looked at the facebook pic, but the way the second digit is centered on the box it looks like the number is 3 digits. I hate when they tease us like that!!!!!!

I consider myself fortunate in that Tomica has been plentiful at my local WalMarts. Although the basic range isn't my top collecting priority, I share my early thanksgiving gratitude that I am glad I can get those models I want.

Yeah, I'm sure it is a 3 digit number but I can't make out the last digit (which is I left the underline).

So I guess that leaves us with 10 cars to choose from (110 to 119)

Yeah, see it as "11_" now. You do like to challenge the eyesight of the elder members on here, don't you, Mike? Remember, "senior member" doesn't mean I have any seniority. It means I have "senior moments"!

Just back from a quick road trip up Minot way - no Tomica on the pegs or place for them in the Wal Mart there. Of course, they also had no Auto World either.

Sure would be nice to see the new Camry and Supra instead of the Suzuki Jimny and Potato truck.
