Anyone have any info. on this? Was it a later reproduction? Looks kinda kewl, but I'm not a Midgetoy aficionado.

May not be that old. I don't know if it was old stock or what; but apparently, up until rather recently, the founders of the company were going around toy shows selling leftover inventory. Then, ca. 2003 they sold what was left to these people; with the condition no more would be produced. I do believe this set was some of those. And then at one point, they sold a bunch of them to a reseller, who is still selling them at a really inflated price. But still, it's a rather nice set.

i believe Cody is on the right track..there was a seller who used to work the shows around here.and he was the high side for his pricing.one of midgetoy collectors told the same story about them being factor left overs after the closing.i have not seen the seller in over a year.Comment
