  • Royal London ad with a '59 impala

Before and after of my Royal London ad framed in blue and gold. These ads are older than the '59 impala. The ads are circa mid '40s.

Thank you. I forget, the '59 was a 1 year body style? I think I have one, but it was a lowrider M2 with chromed out wheels. So I gutted it and put some day 2 wheels on it...and raised the stance. I've had to raise the ride height on numerous makes and models. The ones that are already too high are fine, because altering the height on the lower ones is easy.

LOL, yes, this site can be pretty unforgiving on details. I always love the dioramas . . . they make the cars come to life. Thank you.

Absolutely! Thank you! Every piece of diecast of mine has to be housed permanently scenic.

Another great vintage scene with the '58 Chevy - really neat period piece and adds so much to the display with those vintage ads.

Thank you! I might get a an AHL Hartoy truck for these '30s and '40s ads. I've gotten to the point that I'm pretty much buying antiques and scratch building dioramas rather than buying diecast now. It's in the blood. I'll have to see where it goes from here.
