I've shown this Z before on Swifty's. Yes, it's the roof tampos that make it "rare"/different. Still don't know for sure what the story is on it. Just some speculations from people.

Talk about luck ... In Singapore, people would tell you to quickly go and play Toto (a kind of official betting game that can win you millions of dollars).
I asked Zero Bars about this car and a very interesting story behind it... Yes Over Chrome!

First one that anyone that I've talked to have seen. Some well known BW collectors seem to think it is protype tampo. It couldn't be a tampo that is simply under a standard yellow tampo found on this car. The blue would show through. Also, no rear yellow tampo on this.

Probably the 100% Lost Treasures set. It was a gift from my mother. Knowing where she purchased it she gave $25 for it.

this is a convention issue that still hangs around 100.00

this is the carded issue.the last one i saw sold for 175.00.the loose one from the 5 pack is at most a 1.00 car.a lot of people get them confused.

I wonder what makes that last one so desirable? Aesthetically, it's not very pleasing to the eye. Perhaps it didn't sell too well?

Back then a lot of 5 packs had one exclusive car, then Matty started playing games and it got tough to tell which or if one would be exclusive. I want to say I had one in blister in hand and put it back on the peg, because I already had the 5 pack. You just never know...
The image file limits have been reset. We have over-limit warnings for the past 3 months and I've had to lower the image file limits. Upper limits now are 100,000 when we have some images that exceed 5,000,000. I know I've mentioned many times before, but it is very important to downsize images - doesn't matter if they are hosted elsewhere or here. I've set the pixels for no more than 1000 across the longest side, so if you resize to that all should be well. (The new limits are larger than what I typically use, and my images turn out just fine, so I know it shouldn't be a problem)

                        Thank you for your understanding.

the last is like most of the hard to find numbered blister packs.there just are not that many of them around.the only collectors that got them for sure were the ones that purchased the yearly complete set.

I thought the 57 Chevy in the blister pack was also made in a different plant. Like the one in the 5 pack was Malaysia and the one in the blister pack was China. Or something like that.

How did you get yours pegers? On the pegs or in the full set?

I picked up a near mint purple Custom Cougar about 30 years ago for $40.

I think the most I've ever paid for a HW was $65, and it was a loose example of the 57 Chevy that is in the 5 pack below. I tend to hold until I find it for cheap lol. My most expensive pieces are these.
The 5 pack is probably $150 ish? The 57 sold loose a couple months for $110 I think.
The blackwall Park N Plates 57, I don't think I've ever seen 1 for sale. I've only seen 4 other guys with one online in my days. And I think 3 of them are loose. Hard to put a value on it.

I have several others that are filler grade cars, that would be worth $ if they were nice. But it's cool to have, knowing someone played with this car a lot and it turns out is rare today.
