ID:	6340 I had been in Ireland late august/early september for holiday.
It was very nice, the weather was typical for the british islands.

As usual I came home with some cars. The hunt was starting slowly but from Galway It become quite heavy.
The market in Ireland is similar to UK - not too bad but not great neither.
I came home with 38 cars:
    12x Playmind (12-Pack)
9x Matchbox (Service Crew 5-Pack, Jurassic World Legacy Collection)
    4x Johnny Lightning
    4x Alloy Model
    3x Hot Wheels
2x Siku (in fact UK liveries)
    2x Oxford Diecast
    1x RMZ City
1x Shamrok AEC Routemaster (sold in red by Funtastic in UK)

@the administrators: how about to create a sub forum in the Lounge for "Where you get your cars" ?
I remember that Dom, ambassador84 and me we had a discussion on the old forum about buying cars in France - but this is burried in a thread about Guisval.
It would be better to have such kind of travel tipps better accessible to everybody.
I already prepeared a thread for Switzerland, and could do one for Ireland too, but didn't know where to but.

    Greetings
    Armin

I was thinking the same thing the last few days, Armin!!! It's a worldwide treasure hunt these days for diecast. Incidentally, which stores in Ireland were you able to find these diecast?

I like to know what stores stock which brands when traveling. Except for Oxford Diecast and minimal Majorette, I found virtually no diecast anywhere in Wales, Northern Ireland, England or Scotland, nor in Ireland.

Nice haul. Photo appears small on this end (even when clicking on it. Need more details to scrutinize further!)

Many good memories of Ireland. Visited numerous times between 1983 - 1989, but only came away with one small handful of models. These were determined to be by Bruder, and are about the same size as 1:87 scale cars.

Bruder "Mini" series (Germany) 1/87. Purchased in toy shop in Ireland, circa 1986.

      Fokker (single wing)
      Fokker (triple wing)
      Helicopter
      Klemm (single wing)

FourDoorFord : Ok I try to make a list out of the memory
Target: Hot Wheels, generic things and sometimes Matchbox (once the toy section+ was not inside the supermarket)
Dunnes Stores: sometimes Alloy Model hidden in the Supermarket hanging somewhere / boring Siku 5-Pack at the cash with clothes
          TKMax: Playmind 12-Pack
Smyth Toys: HW Basic, Medium, 5-Pack, 3-Pack, Pop Culture, generic things, MB Jurassic World Legacy Collection
          Toymaster: HW
Euro Giant: RMZ City and Bburago
local toy shops: Siku (UK range), HW, maybe Bburago, maybe Guisval - (in Galway a found a nice shop with Johnny Lighning and Oxford Diecast)
Several souvenir shops: AEC Routemaster by Shamrock, at the airport of Dublin they had a Aerlingus-Transit by Oxford Diecast

Like in UK they are many trift shops in city/town centers sometimes they have toys too - but there I was not lucky
