Special Package Set from John Deere Waterloo Tractor Works - tractors are normal issues - just the package makes them "unique". Got this as a souvenir a number of years ago when I toured the factory with my son-in-law

LEGO Claas Xerion. New for 2020. First small tractor set they have made in over a decade. While a set, I think the scale on this is somewhere around 1/50. It's certainly bigger than any similar tractor I have in 1/64.

I know, one at a time, but I had both of them out to do a technical discussion to my folks; explaning that the "second type" of front tires (just got them replaced on the 5400--at almost a grand!) was those used by the 4x2 version. Nearly all newer tractors in my area are four-wheel drive--I think '80s and later.

I chose the 5400 because well, we have one, a 1996, in MFWD. Granddad bought it for me the day he bought the 1/1 at the dealership in 1998. The 4020 was the first thing I grabbed on the shelf next to it--I don't have any MFWD in 1/16; but several in 1:32 and 1:64.

ERTL John Deere 5400 in 1/16. The steps broke 3-4 months ago when it fell off a shelf.

              Ertl John Deere 4020 MFWD.
