  • Has anyone found the second and third release "Moving Parts" anywhere

I'm guessing that it is Walmart messed up distribution, but the only Moving Parts models I have found were the first series (at Michaels), never saw the second series (NYPD Crown Vic), I was hugely fortunate to find and grab the entire third series (once) but never saw it again (one with the Tesla Model X), and now the fourth series is becoming more readily available at Walmart (the one with the Riviera convertible). I suspect that Walmart is holding back all sorts of goodies to dump right about, oh, Thanksgiving Day. The selection at any Walmart I have hit over the past several months has ranged from poor to nonexistent.

I just found that gold pickup truck at WM. Have not seen that Vic and I really want one.

Yes to the second release, no to the third one. I know for a fact that the second release came and went really quickly in my area, and apparently the third release showed up (but I never saw it).

I saw them at a local mom and pop shop, along with the latest Real Working Rigs.

I seen a few of the Working Rigs at a Walmart, but my luck I was broke and checking account close to being broke too. Debit card didn't work...
Good thing though, those Rigs could have cost me over 40 bucks...LOL
            "NSF" fees...

That's impressive. I assumed Walmart had a lock on the moving parts models. . . . 1967Stang, the 2nd wave (I used the wrong term before, I think) consists of the NYPD Crown Vic with the rear opening doors, a green Willys Jeep Station Wagon with front opening doors, and an metallic orange 2016 Camaro hardtop.

It's confusing, but actually the gold pickup is part of the Superfast series (the $5 price point models with rubber tires) and the good news is, if you find the Crown Vic, it's just $2 in the US.

Got the first batch at Michaels last Christmas, they showed up at WMs just after Christmas, that first series at WM took about a month or so to sell out, and we haven't seen another of the Basics Plus ($2) series since, in fact they haven't even had designated peg space since then either....I figured they just dropped them....Oh and the $5 50th ann series, they still seem to restock the first batch of those, or they just aren't selling.

I'm seeing plentiful amount of the 50th Anniversary Superfast, but little else. And the first Batch of the basic series showed up again recently, so my though is "it ain't over til its over", and that I won't give up hope until AFTER Christmas.

I forgot that as I have opened that truck and the package is gone. I still have the VW Type 3 and yep, it says on the pack "Moving Parts". Didn't even notice the price on the truck, I just bought it....LOL

There are about eight Walmart’s with in 25 minutes of me, only one of which stocks the moving parts and RWR’s. The one Mom and Pop Hobby shop I mention is my only other source for them. They don’t always have the moving parts or RWR in stock, but I’ve been somewhat of a long term customer and my father was before that so they tend to help the collector out a bit.

The NYPD Crown Vic with opening doors was one I was and still am looking forward to adding to my collection but know it is part of the batch that seems to have gone into hyper space since they don't seem to haven shown up at very many stores. Wonder what containers they are all sitting in - perhaps down in Area 51.

HAH!!!! Yes, someone needs to have a talk with the person who handles logistics (or the Pentagon re: all those missing NYPD Crown Vics in Area 51).
