    Racing Champions 1950 Olds 88

    This casting is one of many eventually repurposed for Johnny Lightning, but in the year 2000 it was still Racing Champions. I am not certain how it was issued, I have learned another RC Christmas issue in my collection was a mailaway offer for "club members," and I would think similar for this one.

    1950 was a banner year for Oldsmobile with the introduction of the Rocket engine and proved the primary competitor for the Ford and especially the Mercury V8s introduced just the year before.
    The image file limits have been reset. Upper limits now are 100,000 when we have some images that exceed 5,000,000. I've set the pixels for no more than 1000 across the longest side, so if you resize to that all should be well. (The limits are larger than what I typically use, and my images turn out just fine, so I know it shouldn't be a problem)

      Sharp looking Christmas issue Olds 88 from Racing Champions. I don't recall these holiday issues, but it is also around that time I stopped joining a lot of the brand clubs that were out there.
