    They would swear on it

    There was about a dozen or so fellow friends from Hobby Talk that would swear on their momma and their last bottom dollar this 55 Ford gasser was the one that HW started the idea of the 55 Chevy gasser from. I really don't believe so, but their first primer gray 55 Chevy gasser release looked allot like my 55 Ford gasser. I got message after message from those guys saying to sue Mattel... LOL...

    That may be the case, but the concept of gassers can be traced to the 1940s, so it's not lawsuit territory, as it's the concept that's being copied. That is a nice Ford

      Not a fan (I've mentioned dozens of times at DG) of "blown engines", but it's probably the flat gray that appeals to me the most, and makes this model stand out! Doesn't hurt that it's a Ford, either.

        I have looked and looked and looked some more to find the pic of what this ole' Ford gasser looked like after I messed it up removing the Coke or Santa tampos and began the custom work.
        I finally found them.








        I had no plans or ideas how it would come out, but was happy with the results. I did really like the two tone red and white though...

          I knew there was no lawsuit basis there, I kept trying to tell some of those guys that. Even if someone did see and use my ideas to put into production, I was happy to see it. Now it was available to everyone...
