  • 86 Silverado Step-Side- Bright Red 4x4

Walmart seems to have stocked AutoWorld recently- but I keep missing the initial stocking of the pegs. Nonetheless, I was happy to find this Silverado this morning - this casting looks so much cooler in the 4x4 guise. I had to blow up the plate to read it- a little glare, but it is an Indiana "WANDER" plate reading UPREALHI

Wow, that's a beautiful ride they did an excellent job on this one. Very nice pictures!!!
Due to the recent budget cuts,
the rising cost of electricity, gas, and oil, plus the
current state of the economy, the light at the end
of the tunnel has been turned off.

nice casting... made the he has the plate because he is a pilot.

or maybe he has some other way to reach the heavens.

Some way to reach the heavens. I usually get that eating at a Mexican Restaurant.

Interesting take on the plate- I had assumed it was due to the lift kit and big tires, but I like your ideas better

I hope to find one of these in my travels from store to store now. I’ll have to wipe that plate off the front, though - Indiana has never had a front plate.

That is one great looking pickup. Those meaty tires really set it off big time...

I really like the Autoworld Squarebody casting. Just wish they did the longbed models too. I would love a Big Dooley from AW.

Well, the good news is that there's a squarebody dually on the way - but it's from M2 Machines.

I like these they used them at the South Carolina Ports in the Crane Maintenance shop. We had a couple in the Port Police but they were the Fords no Pilot's License necessary. They were strictly security vehicles meaning no lightbars.

A Great masculine-looking truck I wonder what kind of gas mileage these things had in their time. I remember back in the day you got out of the truck and locked the hubs for 4-wheel drive. Thanks for the pictures John and congratulations on this clean beauty.

GREAT pix- i was going to pass on whitey- but maybe it just needs a mud treatment? think i'm going to black out those wheel wells- and maybe the underside- sticks out a little bit.

Fuel mileage was in the 6-9 range, depending on the usual variables. I had a ‘64 Jeep Gladiator Townside (Willys bed) with 33’s and a Chevy 355 that I built up a bit, and I got 8 mpg. I still miss that truck.

Not much in the way of aerodynamics on these beautiful bricks!
