Walmart seems to have stocked AutoWorld recently- but I keep missing the initial stocking of the pegs. Nonetheless, I was happy to find this Silverado this morning - this casting looks so much cooler in the 4x4 guise. I like these they used them at the South Carolina Ports in the Crane Maintenance shop. We had a couple in the Port Police but they were the Fords no Pilot's License necessary. They were strictly security vehicles meaning no lightbars.Originally posted by JBH6666 View Post

A Great masculine-looking truck I wonder what kind of gas mileage these things had in their time. I remember back in the day you got out of the truck and locked the hubs for 4-wheel drive. GREAT pix- i was going to pass on whitey- but maybe it just needs a mud treatment? think i'm going to black out those wheel wells- and maybe the underside- sticks out a little bit.Comment

Fuel mileage was in the 6-9 range, depending on the usual variables. I had a ‘64 Jeep Gladiator Townside (Willys bed) with 33’s and a Chevy 355 that I built up a bit, and I got 8 mpg. I still miss that truck.
