Just one example of the collector grade models coming from Europe about the time redline Hot Wheels were taking off, in the late 1960s and early 1970s. Makers and brands such as Polistil Penny, Schuco 1/66, Lone Star and Mercury of Italy were creating some tastefully done miniatures which all these years later still have their fans and followers.

The image file limits have been reset. Upper limits now are 100,000 when we have some images that exceed 5,000,000. I've set the pixels for no more than 1000 across the longest side, so if you resize to that all should be well. (The limits are larger than what I typically use, and my images turn out just fine, so I know it shouldn't be a problem)
Thank you for your understanding.Tags: None

The neat thing about the Penny models is they were sold in the US. Most of mine came from a department store called the Bon Marche out in the State of Washington in the mid to late '60's but also found some in a hobby shop in Pasco, WA as well.
