  • '74 C30 Squarebody Wrecker

First project of the new year and it's a good one. Combined an M2 '68 F350 tow boom/wrecker body with the new M2 '74 Cheyenne Super C10, lifted the stance and used Matchbox wheels painted/sanded to look more like Real Riders, and the M2 bed fit perfectly with no modification.

Beautiful conversion! (And here I digress . . . Greenlight (or some other company) needs to make a tow truck kit to retrofit to pickups, along the lines of the tires and accessory packs. One of my few criticisms of Greenlight is that they have not developed a towing device beyond the existing drop hook. I'd like to see a sling version from the Seventies.) But back on thread, another fantastic transition from idea to reality!!!!

Thanks, and I agree. I wish M2 would make their medium-duty wrecker mechanisms out of metal instead of plastic, I don't buy or work with those since they are so darn fragile.

You know, I haven't even seen an M2 square body Chevy p/u. Aren't they WM exclusives? For that matter I can't find a Ford F-350 wrecker listed anywhere, either. When did they get released?

Thanks, Chris. I guess I better get looking a little better.....before M2 decides to make a square body wrecker. after seeing your custom!

@Ivan, I think M2's version will have inaccurate 1/2 ton stance like most of their other wreckers do, this one needed a proper 1-ton stance
