  • Johnny Lightning Duesenberg SSJ

Had to think of an inaugural model to kick off this site, and this one has to be my personal favorite:

You are not likely to find another. Tom Zahorsky and the JL executives were kicking around the idea but it never came to fruition...Johnny Lightning never released this former Racing Champions model. This model came to me from Tom Z.

The image file limits have been reset. We have over-limit warnings for the past 3 months and I've had to lower the image file limits. Upper limits now are 100,000 when we have some images that exceed 5,000,000. I know I've mentioned many times before, but it is very important to downsize images - doesn't matter if they are hosted elsewhere or here. I've set the pixels for no more than 1000 across the longest side, so if you resize to that all should be well. (The new limits are larger than what I typically use, and my images turn out just fine, so I know it shouldn't be a problem)

    Thank you for your understanding.

Wes: If you ever decide that you're tired of this beauty, I'll gladly take it off your hands. I'm a MAJOR Duesenberg buff! My wife and I toured the A-C-D Museum in Auburn, IN, this past May. She got tired of it after a couple of hours and went out to the car to crochet and/or take a nap... I was in the museum for over 6 hours and wanted to stay longer, but they wanted to close for the day so I had to go. I took lots of pictures - I should post some of them up on here some time, if I can find the appropriate thread to put them in.

You would have my rapt attention if you did post pics from the A-C-D museum. I know of the RC issues of this model, two were exclusive to the A-C-D museum gift shop...I've lucked into two copies of each so one of each has been liberated for a couple of years now. The other two issues were "regular" issues, though one can also be found paired with a 1/18, but the paint scheme is the same as the regular.
