  • British Petroleum or BP for short

This just a couple photos of most of my BP collection, I also have a few other items that are all boxed away somewhere, one of those things that is kind of neat is a big cast iron BP wrecker, very similar to the old Matchbox Ford Heavy Wreck truck, only in a BP paint scheme, I know I had some pics, but they are probably lost to Photobucket.

Anyway, here they are, feel free to show any BP models you have, always like to see the different BP models out there.

That would be a nice custom, you'll have to show it if you get it done.

Neat collection of BP related models. I don't recall the BP sponsored stock car but may have come from the time after I pretty much stopped collecting NASCAR.

It's a Racing Champions, I'm sure I found it on clearance when I got it, as I never collected much NASCAR stuff, but I liked it was BP, and had the neat little car cover with it..

Great theme. Have always liked the Matchbox offerings but don't have anything unusual. One of only three King Size models in the collection is the race transporter you show. Also hope to get the King Size wreck truck some day. I suppose a holy grail piece would be the G1 gift set with the garage. Only need the garage and box. Have a couple red Fiats, and the Leyland tanker truck and Dodge tow truck (who doesn't). Would also consider a custom reverse color Nr. 13 Dodge wreck truck.

I hope I got it right: Not just Matchbox, but mainly BP models.

Here a Kenworth tanker in 1/55, from 1987, manufactured by Sieper.

A plug-in petrol station from HEMA (Dutch Unit Price Company Amsterdam)

... and a Chevrolet tank truck from Lego in 1/40

                      Thanks everyone,

and those are perfect additions Jorg, never seen any of those before, but wouldn't mind adding them to the collection someday, especially like that old service station.

Well, just happened to find this at one of the local honey holes. The model is mint but the box has some wear. The black line on one of the wheels is actually some flashing from the tire. This example probably spent most of its existence in the box.

Mostly see the chrome base. This may be the only one with a white base I've seen. Certainly the only one I have.

Snarfed in October 2017. My original Lotus race car (dark green) is mint and I believe it has a decal. The sticker on this was a bit worn, but you can't have everything.
