The Doncaster plant was the headquarters of the McCormick company, named for the McCormick family of Chicago. The plant had a long history of producing tractors for Case IH and International Harvester and under its new ownership continued to produce tractors for Case IH under the terms of a European antitrust agreement.

The statement immediately hit the local news, not only for the job losses, but also because the announcement came a week before Christmas. All McCormick tractor production moved to Fabbrico, Italy. The Fabbrico site had been the main Landini factory and together with other ARGO Group factories in the area has since manufactured a common line of products carrying the Landini and McCormick brands.

The last tractor rolled off the Doncaster assembly line in December 2007, an XTX series tractor. The KamAZ company purchased and transferred the assembly line with a view to assembling a version of the XTX series tractor in Russia.[3]

International sales, service support and marketing activities transferred to the Italian factory and an independent distributor took on these responsibilities for Great Britain, and also for all of Ireland in 2017.

The C70 was produced from 2001-2003 in Doncaster, England. A Perkins 4.2 liter four cylinder diesel produced 73 engine hp with 50hp available at the drawbar. An independent rear pto was standard and it was offered in both 4x2 and 4x4 configurations. Power steering and wet disc brakes were standard as was the ROPs ( Roll Over Protection System). No cab was offered. It was a fairly basic smaller utility tractor suited for the Euro market.

In 2002 Scale Models issued for the Louisville Farm Show as a special edition debut model. In 1/16 scale it features working steering, solid diecast hood and metal rims plus a working 3 point hitch. I scored this at an auction in the fall of 2019. It was new in the box, had the original certificate and appeared to not have been displayed. Like all Scale Models toys it's was made in Dyersville, Iowa.

Thank you Zach for the background information on the McCormick tractor - always wondered where and how it came about. Nice model from Scale Models.
