OK, so these probably are not everyone's cuppa tea, but they've shown up in my travels over the past couple of years, and while not every model in the line appeals to me some of the models are not that bad. This is one of the better ones.
Disregarding the front and rear fascias which are for the most part designer's whim, this looks to my eye mostly based on a first generation Chevy Camaro, arguably with a first generation Ford Mustang fastback rear window added. Zurus are not licensed vehicles, so those that are recognizable have modifications to avoid licensing...the rest are pure designer whimsy. These are certainly steps above the pancake generics that come in multipacks at discount stores, but probably a half-notch below typical mainline Hot Wheels and Matchbox. Of the models in the line I have been picking up, there are some pretty cool reinterpretations of well known vehicles including an old Ford pickup and a Land Rover. At this point most models have 3 or 4 color variants and at least 2 different names, it seems the initial names used were dropped in favor of new names.
With plastic bodies and metal bases these are clearly playthings, but like so many makers of recent memory I expect these will be here and gone and 20 years from now collectors will be wondering what these are, and someone can point back here and say they know what they are.
