  • Ever been to Cherokee? Not the one in North Carolina....

I have, AND the one in North Carolina. So, now, finally, has Hot Wheels:

Just got this a few days ago...only one I've seen so far in several stores and chains....like it a lot!

Kinda funny the model is among the "Baja Blazers" theme, since it's NOT a "Blazer"....

Even here, the XJ is a popular rig to modify into an off-roader. I have quite a few of JL's version, but I think HW did exceptionally well for a dollar. And it's a color I like.

With costs of undoing bodge jobs on a CJ-3 (which had poorly been converted into a crawler) just short of being 50 years older (and that's with a rusted out CJ-5 as a parts donor), I keep on meaning on eventually getting an XJ to toy around with. I waited too long to pick up the 2-doors the DSS (Social Services) used in my county when they got auctioned off. Preferably, I want the two door--shorter wheelbase.

I keep forgetting HW did this one--I need to remember next Walmart run. DG has never had this one.

Blair, you mean it's not a Chevy Blazer?? I don't think any in the series is a Chevy

(Not sure what happened there....I 'quoted' Ivantt's post (#3) and only got the gif image....)

I'll be on the lookout for this cool casting, probably get two of this version, one for my brother, not a collector, but he had a "94 I think in dark green like this, he bought new, it got driven full time for about 10 years, then it was just part time used as a family back up, in case one of their daily drivers broke down, he just finally got rid of it a couple years ago, because it wasn't being used at all anymore, I guess this era of Cherokee's were pretty good cars to have lasted him some 25 years.

Really like this one - a nice Hot Wheels flair to it, while keeping the model realistic.

WooHoo Just found this today at my area Walmarts, along with the red Bronco you posted in another thread, I wanted two but only found one of the Cherokee's, Funny thing was the normal HWs area didn't have much new, but when I strolled down the aisle they had another section of HWs singles in the premium diecast area, that was something new for them, and where I found these and a few other HWs that came home with me, like KITT in super pursuit mode, and then a couple new Majorette punch buggies.

I'm getting hooked on some of those Punch Buggies, too. My main interest is the T2 vans with (first) the surfboard on top, then the latest one with skiis on top, but a couple of the Bugs drove home with me too. Always a soft spot for VWs....each of my elder brothers had one or the other at a time in their lives.

That green and white van with the skis is the one I just got too, and I did get a bug too, the red one with Firestone livery, I only got it because I used to take my old Ranger, and then my F150 all the time to the one near where I used to live for oil changes and a set of tires when needed.

I just found this Cherokee last week at Walmart in Greenfield, IN. Impressive model, especially for $1.
