I bought this from a seller I have no reason to believe that he tried to deceive me. This looked strange from the beginning as it doesn't say majorette anywhere on the base.

I finally was able to identify it as this Dickie Toy: https://www.diecastgarage.org/node/105802

It is not out of the question to have a Dickie casting in a Majorette package as both brands are owned by the same company.

But the question remains, was this ever sold as a Majorette or is it a repackage?

Good question...and I don't have an answer, although the date on the package flap is somewhat telling.
The image file limits have been reset. Upper limits now are 100,000 when we have some images that exceed 5,000,000. I've set the pixels for no more than 1000 across the longest side, so if you resize to that all should be well. (The limits are larger than what I typically use, and my images turn out just fine, so I know it shouldn't be a problem)

    Thank you for your understanding.

I've never seen that casting before so I just did some searching on local Craigslist and found this photo. There's a Majorette logo printed on the base, so apparently it was sold under the Majorette name.

Also found another listing stating it is a Majorette. Unfortunately, both listings don't include photos of their packaging.

I'd really like to know if the model in the photo down below came with a trailer. The tow hook makes it look like it did.

Great find. I did look on ebay and I found one more Majorette C-Class: https://www.ebay.com/itm/26536926832...MAAOSwvrthcCYH

Here is the base of my model, without the printed Majorette

I think it is clear it was sold as a Majorette, it is not the only one with a Simba type of tooling

This is related to my question here, https://www.diecastgarage.org/node/445675 I am working on an answer attempting to clear things up a little bit.
