    '20 Chevy Silverado Trail Boss

    Found this one today at Walmart.

    I have to admit, it's really nice for $6. Pretty good level of detail, heavy, and an opening hood and tailgate. It's the first Auto World truck I've bought, and the first modern vehicle as well.

    I did notice the headlights are slightly mispainted. I suspect that's why it was the only premium AW I found on the pegs. I didn't mind, as I didn't have to pay postage as it was something I found in a store.

    That is one good-looking truck I saw it the other day but passed because I have more hot wheels tires and axles coming sure like to have it in the collection though. Thanks for the picture!

      It is a nice heavy model. I like the 1/64 version way more than the 1/1 .It's a plus it has opening tail gate plus hood and detailed engine.

        I agree with what you said!

        Newer Chevy trucks look too Darth Vader and Japanese sci-fi for me.

          I like that casting better than the real truck! The base Trail Boss wheels are too small to my eyes (though accurate to the real truck).

              Dang, that's pretty. I like pickup trucks, and buy too many of them that don't "fit my collection" (fire/rescue/ems). The premium features are nice on this one. I might even bring one home with me if I see it on my rounds today.

                I picked this one up a few days back and ran across the real deal in my office parking lot! In the full shot- the AW is on the front tire.

                        To clarify - I only picked up the AutoWorld Silverado- not the real truck! Another person in my office complex is the owner of the real ride.

                        If I had to pay for gas in the real truck, it would take too big a bite out of my diecast budget.

                          I'm wondering when Walmart is going to increase the diecast prices again.

                            I mentioned it yesterday or Friday in a post, but prices have gone up at stores in my region (Pacific Northwest, SW Idaho). I haven't checked Walmart yet, but at Fred Meyer I paid $11 plus change for a 9-pack (with blue Tacoma Lifeguard) my last time in a store. (Stayed home all day yesterday...) That's about $1.22 for each model in the pack. Still cheaper than Dollar Tree's $1.29 before sales tax (6.5% here, if it hasn't been raised again...) Haven't seen any increase in single models (single blister cards, or PG boxes) yet at other stores, but haven't tried to buy any yet since the price increase.

                              I’ve been picking up most AW Trail Bosses since we bought a new one last year. AW has been mislabeling some of them and mis-stating information on some cards. Only the Custom - the lower model - has a front bench seat. All LTs have the dash to seat back center console. Customs also have the more traditional headlights, whereas LTs have the LEDs. Ours is a cherry red metallic Custom, and yes the tires are a tad short - our Jeep has bigger tires. I’ll upgrade when it’s time to replace them.
