  • MINI GT 40' Containers

I recently saw some listings for MINI GT 40' containers.

    Coming March 2020

    They're a bit expensive at approx $24 - $25

Does anyone know if anyone else makes containers, 40' and/or 20'?

They look nicely done, but at them prices you'd almost think you'd get the truck along with it.

Yes, the prices are a bit high for an empty container. The least they could do is fill them with some cargo. Maybe cases of Hot Wheels, Matchbox, Greenlight.....

Not a bad idea Michael, maybe if they gave you scaled pallets stacked with cases, and a scaled small forklift or pallet jack, we could create a nice little diorama … I remember during the Christmas season the TRU near me would always have a number of large containers dropped in the side parking lot, guess it allowed much of the holiday stock to be right on hand to restock the shelves.

I thought i saw some of those on e-bay, but for around $15-20?... even then i can't see it, although i have gotten some tonkin intermodal boxes over the years- both with trailer chassis and in truck/trailer combos:

Once in awhile 3000 toys had them on clearance, but i haven't seen any lately.

Thanks Phil. I have seen some DCP containers on Ebay for around $25. I'll have to look into the Tonkin. And I guess to do it right, I should look for some chassis/trailers too.

i really like the tonkins- it's just a solid heavy metal box- with appropriate markings. the chassis are a little "ertl-ie" (i made that word up) compared to DCP/ First Gear, but you can't really see the undercarriage anyway.
