    The ship has come in

    Finally! A shipment of hotwheels has hit The Reject Shops (aussie chain of cheap shops).
    They haven’t had any MB on the pegs for months, and barely a HW to be found, but now they have bins and pegs overflowing with
    OLD models.
    The ship must have been lost at sea and finally found port.
    I grabbed a few. I did hide some in the corner of the bin out the front and returned about 30 minutes later to check the pegs inside and grab my hidden gems. I noticed them a scrawny red headed teenager with the beginnings of a straggley beard going through the bin, and when I got to the counter he was in front of me with MY stash. I had ‘hidden’ a datsun pickup and sedan, and a black nissan, hmm, anyway, I did find more of the sedan at another Reject Shop.

    Skwerl,may be those are the cars that Mattel did not ship in the last year or so.

        Skwerl - what is the car at the upper left in the picture that appears to be some type of emergency vehicle? I have noticed Hot Wheels are back on the pegs of the Dollar General stores in my area as well as Target. Now, if the Matchbox models would return.

          I think it’s a Chrysler Pacifica in the HW Tires decals.

            Yep, a treasure hunt chrysler pacifica with Hw tire decals and tyres in the back,

                  I see you found the black RODGER DODGER in "Magic 8 Ball" livery. There are 13 known different messages on the base plates of these. Three of the thirteen are Treasure Hunt issues.

                    Congrats on finding so many models for your Collection, Too bad about those cars that guy swiped from your hiding place

                    You said there were a lot of that Dodge van regular TH models there, That's how it was around here too, I'd see them on pegs at a number of different stores,

                      There were quite a few of the vans on the pegs back then but I can’t remember whether I saw the treasure hunt ones. I may hva e done but didn’t buy one as the art work doesn’t really appeal to me.

                      I did pick up the gold van at a market stall recently. It’s been played with, but I really like the colours and never sighted one in the shops.

                          Yeah, in the photo posted at first, I too thought it said "HW FIRE", not HW TIRE"...good to know, but now if/when I see it in stores, it will be clear as day what it says. (We should make a law that "Tire" and "Fire" should be spelled clearly differently....that capital T looks too much like a capital F....or that the capitalizations should be in a different font or something...😉)
