  • TP-112 / MB UNIMOG and Trailer "UR83 / UNFALL-RETTUNG"

Even though "Unfall-Rettung" is accident rescue, he obviously just cleared off the north pole runway (accident prevention duty).

Searched past posts from around October 10, 2019 (when these photos were actually taken) but didn't find anything, so hopefully they are "knew too yew."

Had them listed as part of the Trailers series, but the MBX Wiki includes the trailer as one of several TP-112 (Two Pack / Twin Pack series) variations. Do the Trailers series and Two Pack (or Twin Pack) series overlap, or are they always separate?

Nice set Jeff, and one I hope to add someday.

They used a variety of names over the years, I believe it was just a matter of the era for the two pack that determined the name on the package, but I think collectors have always just categorized them as Two Packs, each having a "TP" number for cataloging, like yours is TP112.

Anyway the names they have used through the years are Two Packs, Twin Pack, 900 Series, Hitch 'n Haul, Trailers, Team, I don't believe the earlier HnH had come with accessories like the more modern releases, then they were just a two pack with only the models. Guess it is possible some of the names overlapped, or used in different markets at the same time, though Trailers and Team appear to be later names used, like late 80's into 90's, based on the style of packaging.

Here are my MBX Unimog trucks. Each one has a different color front Plow. I really like the red and white one that you have👍

Thanks Doug, I have seen a few of your TP photos here. I got this one in Buffalo on October 2011. No box.

Nice variations. I don't have the yellow ones but do have the "G&S" set. I believe I have the box, but the models were liberated (highly unusual here). Anyone know what the G&S stands for?

You probably remember this thread https://www.diecastgarage.org/node/2495 from near back when this site started, think it shows a good variety of the packaging, although I don't have any of the early Hitch n Haul ones, or the Twin Pack marked ones, but I've seen pictures before, and yet the only reference images I can find for Twin Pack are the themed sets from the 90's that came with a 3" issue and a Convoy model, but I'm pretty sure I'd seen a photo of an old TP set that said Twin Pack on it, although it seems they must be scarce if they actually used that name.

I had most of the Unimog and trailer combinations at one time in my collection. Really like the one you shared with us in red. I always thought it interesting that they came with different colored plows.
