My local Target just came out with a new endcap with premium cars / brands. Quite a welcome surprise & somewhat freshly stocked too.

Have not seen that in any of the Targets I have recently been in - at least the ones I stopped at in Kentucky and Indiana actually had lots of diecasts on the pegs - but outside of some JL none of the other premium lines. Got back home to you know what - empty pegs - at least in the Matchbox and premium areas - they do again have basic Hot Wheels. In my travels the Target that had the best assortment of Matchbox was in Bloomington, Indiana.

I checked but nothing but on the way out we stopped at Moe's and that was great supper!!!Due to the recent budget cuts,
the rising cost of electricity, gas, and oil, plus the
current state of the economy, the light at the end
of the tunnel has been turned off.

Nice to see so much selection available, but the (long ago) retail worker in me is guessing this was a local manager's decision, as opposed to a corporate strategy.
"Hey Team Leader, the pegs in the plan are full and I've still got half a pallet of cars and trucks. What should I do?"
"See that endcap? Fill it up and clear 'em out!"

My Target only has Hot Wheels, Johnny Lightning, Greenlight, and Matchbox. Never have I ever seen an M2 Machines or Auto World and to tell you the truth I'm not crazy about spending 10.00 dollars for Johnny Lightning.Due to the recent budget cuts,
the rising cost of electricity, gas, and oil, plus the
current state of the economy, the light at the end
of the tunnel has been turned off.
