I used to do that. Now, I'm trying really hard to keep it to trucks and heavy equipment/emergency vehicles; as well as English Matchbox and German Siku. Yet, I still slip.

        same here
        I had 3 or 4 boxes I didn't want anymore & I gave all away at a free garage sale I had
I admit collecting is a addiction but it sure is fun!

But but It's not our fault, it's those diecast companies that keep making them so pretty.

Actually, while I'm far better at restricting what I add, I still have a large pile of this past years additions sitting on the floor near my computer...I hesitate to box them up and put them back in the bedroom, because I should be doing the opposite, and unboxing what's in the bedroom and organizing them, not adding more boxes to the room. ..Guess I'm too far gone for help.

I think I'm the poster child....save yourselves, It's too late for me!
The image file limits have been reset. Upper limits now are 100,000 when we have some images that exceed 5,000,000. I've set the pixels for no more than 1000 across the longest side, so if you resize to that all should be well. (The limits are larger than what I typically use, and my images turn out just fine, so I know it shouldn't be a problem)

              Thank you for your understanding.

I finally found the pic my (now ex-wife) made up back around 1999. I was photographed in K-Bee Toys looking at HWs and used in one of their ads. My ex redid the pic like this...LOL

Back in the late 90's I was renting a house and the second bedroom walls were covered from floor to ceiling with HW's and MB's still in the pack. I called it little car wallpaper. ....LOL

Same here. First year where several obtainment boxes were sitting next to my desk for weeks/months until I got around to sorting/storing them. This overflow scenario happened several times this year. I thought it would slow down with time, but the reverse seemed to happen this year. Oopsies!

                        Ain't it the truth?

I just got back from California, but it was to spend a quiet Christmas with one of my oldest friends (from intermediate school days in SoCal), and one of my first Alaska friends from back in my early days there ('80s)...both live on opposite ends of Lake Tahoe...a few days south then a couple at the north, then a second day behind the wheel between here and there...

One of the great things about Tahoe is NO Target, Walmart, or other good sources for diecast. And no desire to head down to Carson, Reno or Sacramento to look for stuff that's probably not there to find anyway--even as plentiful as HW are around the planet! I did stop at one Walmart near a interstate gas/truckstop fueling spot on the way home and got lunch (Subway....mmmm good) and one each of the new Matchbox 5packs. But otherwise, no pressure to hunt for my passion.

Now I'm back home and dealing with all the stuff I bought before I left for California....scattered around floors of several rooms of the house...and just now is the first chance to visit here (DCG/Swifty's) since before I left here, and it's good to be back!

                        Happy New Year everybody!
