  • Pre Sturgis

Here is some pics of most of the motorcycles that I am going to put in my next dio ( Sturgis biker rally )
Still waiting on about 20 more Mini Halmark Keepsake harleys etc
The 1st couple of pics are of the Halmark 1/64 high detail Diecast bikes that where used to hang on christmas trees,
These are the best bikes I have seen for a a 1/64 diorama ( I will do a seperate post when i get the rest in the new year )
The others are micro machines & other HO etc bikes

    the others

Yes i know there will be a lot of non harleys in the dio but I looked it up & aparently there is quite a few that turn up

Neat bke diorama. Those Hallmark motorcycles are awesome! We like to say our little town is on the road to no where except in August when it is one of many routes that the bikers use going to and coming back from Sturgis. See lots of Harleys but many other brands as well.

Since they are ornaments, do the Hallmark motorcycles have eyelets for hooks? (edit:after searching a while, I see they do have eyelets)..... Soooooo.....How do you remove them? Just cut them off?

Do you know how many different bikes there were (are)? I'd like to track some down. While searching online, I noticed it looks like there are some larger bikes also, so need to be careful when buying them online.

edit: After more searching I see there is a Harley Davidson Miniature Series - looks like at least 14 different bikes.

        Thanks John

        Michael ,
Yes. they have little eyelet hooks , They are pretty easy to take off
I used long nose pliers ,
Gently hold the bike with two fingers & with your other hand use the pliers moving left to right and pulling at the same time
It should come straight out , be careful with the handle bars & kickstand etc

The Harley-Davidson miniature ornament series started in 1999 and continued through 2012
There are 14 different Bikes in the Mini Series with color etc vatriations from the sets you get about 20 different bikes all up

          Thanks Greg!

Wow, I didn't expect a complete list. That's great! I will definitely track down most of them. While searching online last night, I saw the diorama building it's neat! I just might try to get it also.
