I bought the 4 cars in this series shortly after they first came out, plus the Studebaker looking armored truck. That was a time, locally at least, when nobody cared about anything diecast other than HW. This casting is in my top 10 all-time favorites; late 30s-40s castings are sorely lacking still. One of my first customs was putting 25th Anniversary HW redlines on mine and detailing it. It’s still a favorite. Black does look good on it, and those wheels do too.
