  • Still only a Buck Each ~ An 80 pic Hot Wheels Show

I started collecting Matchbox cars way back in the early 60s and began collecting Hot Wheels when they hit the pegs around 68 or so. I've only seen MBs go from $.49 to $1.00 and HWs go from $.69 to $1.00. Over the years this hobby has become more complex, detailed and "EXPENSIVE". As I look my collection of over 13,000 cars I love them all but it's almost to the point I can't afford to keep up with all the new higher end stuff at 6, 7, 8 and 9 bucks each. Also the care and space has become a slight problem. The good ole' HWs and MBs are still a single buck each and I am still impressed with much of their new stuff. HW has had some beautiful castings over the years. And, for 1 dollar each, you can't beat em' at all!!!

It's castings such as this Mustang that really helps keep my interest in this hobby. With my mom's passing and many other changes over the years, I have a slight problem keeping up with it. I'm going to hang with it and keep pursuing the enjoyment I once got from this hobby. I am going to have to figure a way to get it back under control with the cleaning, displaying, organizing, and to the fun stuff customizing, restoring, and building dios!!!

I'm kind of with you on that, it's easy to pick up a few nice Matchbox and Hot Wheels once and awhile for just a buck, but as nice as some of the higher end brands are, for me these days those are too hard to budget in, but as long as Mbx and HWs keep making great stuff like they so often do like the many you show, I'm satisfied.
