Makes sense for Aldi to have a somewhat cheaper version for their stores.

It is really impressive for a Majorette. I went to this topic from the Latest Topics sidebar, and at first, had thought this was a Siku.

Oh sorry - I posted the Porsche under the Majorette section and then didn't mention that it was a Majorette Porsche Carrera S...

But it's true, Siku made very similar models.

both versions look good to me.

After I read EdeKa's post, I immediately started looking for all four of these ALDI Porsche Edition 2 packs on OFAS. They arrived in the mail today! Thank you EDeKa - otherwise I would have completely missed these.

All 8 models are new variants! Here are the cars in detail, along with the regular versions. The ALDI models are shown on the right on all pics.

First of all, the three 911 Carrera S coupes with the hood cast shut. The normal models with opening hood come from the deluxe Porsche Edition. All cars have wheels with rubber tires.



Below three got an upgrade. In contrast to the cars of the premium Porsche Edition, the ALDI models now have wheels with rubber tires.



The last two step out of line. The 911 Carrera S Cabriolet still has an opening hood, but now comes without a removable roof top. (Interesting that the 718 Boxster still came with a top.)

Last but not least, the 934. This one is interesting in two respects. On the one hand, the light blue model does not originally come from the Porsche Edition at all, but was previously a completely normal model from the vintage series. The 934 from the Porsche Edition was green. On the other hand, although the 934 was upgraded with rubber tires, it also lost the painted rear bumper and the upper part of the painted air grille. However, I have also seen these savings measures on other 934s.



All in all a great set with nice new additions to my collection!
