  • Any interest here in 1/72 scale cars?

Hey guys, I've been lurking here more than posting. My last post was back on the Swifty's Garage forum and even then it was 2 years ago.

I've lately been going through my collection to sell off some pieces and noticed I had a number of minicars in exact 1/72 scale. Specifically, the G.Space Lamborghini collection and the all-plastic F-Toys Nostalgic Hero collection.

Do folks here or collectors in general have any interest in these? I'm considering selling these off on Ebay (or perhaps on this forum if allowed)

Here's a pic of the G.Space Lamborghinis (Not my collection. I grabbed this pic off the web. Mine are still in the boxes.)

And here are pics of the F-Toys Nostalgic Hero collection (pic from the official F-Toys website)

Interesting scale......I have seen many 1/87th (even 1/144th scale) but never 1/72 scale. Lambos do look nice.

Many of the Hongwell models are 1/72nd scale. I have a lot of their emergency vehicles in my collection - size reminds me of the early Matchbox regular wheels which worked well with the OO gague (1/76th) model trains in Europe. If I was still a more broad range collector some of those might be of interest to me but confine myself to emergency vehicles and a few other areas.

dom6698 - Here are some additional highly detailed actual 1/72 scale models that are available in their mint original packages. These have been compared to a 1/64 Kyosho Porsche 996 911 GT3 RS model and are definitely smaller in scale.

Real-X Porsche 996 GT3 RS mounted on black bases with clear plastic covers

Real-X Porsche 996 GT3 mounted on black bases with clear plastic covers

Schuco Junior Line Porsche 993 GT2 mounted on black base with clear plastic cover

          Ruf Collection Porsche 997 RGT

Yat Ming Porsche 996 911 Turbo

All of these 1/72 scale models have been placed on the Buy/Sell/Trade section of Diecast Garage for very reasonable prices. Please send me a PM if you are interest in acquiring any of these now.

            Interesting discussion.
I have a bunch of the Real-X castings in the cases with clear plastic covers and black bases.
I will have to dig them out.
            Thanks for the reminder.
While I am at it, I will dig out some of my Hongwell Carrera castings.

            Cheers. Cobra
