This model was one of my first exposures to the Corgi Rockets line and remains a favorite from that series. While the primary competition and ultimate downfall was Mattel and Hot Wheels redlines, I sense more in common with Topper era Johnny Lightning with the design of this particular model. I suspect that may be why it resonates with me.

My first copy was / is a beater, but I was fortunate to find this one from a seller in Poland a couple years back, before postage got out of hand. It is in very nice shape and including the key, it was priced right and now resides happily in my collection.

The image file limits have been reset. Upper limits now are 100,000 when we have some images that exceed 5,000,000. I've set the pixels for no more than 1000 across the longest side, so if you resize to that all should be well. (The limits are larger than what I typically use, and my images turn out just fine, so I know it shouldn't be a problem)

    Thank you for your understanding.

Don't think I'd ever seen that model before, but if I had seen it sitting there loose with no other info, I would have first guessed Johnny Lighting.

looks like something that the customizers would make
Like Big Daddy Roth or George Barris would make

I had one of these at one time but think mine had a red cab. I know with the name Ole McDonald's Truck I used it on my farm display diorama many years ago as a conversation piece. The young son of a fellow tractor collector and friend fell in love with it - would come by at every show to admire and over it. At one show as I was packing up, I handed it to him and told him it was his. Think you could have seen his grin from the Candian border all the way down to the Mexican border.

I have the red one as well, but the base had been reworked and was no longer a Rockets base. It was then "Whizzwheels." As far as I know those are the only two variants.
