  • AutoWorld Starion/Conquest model ahead!

Yes! AutoWorld just announced a new casting of the Mitsubishi Starion, also sold by Chrysler, Plymouth, and Dodge dealers as the Conquest.

Very exciting news for those of us who were coming of age in the ‘80s and dreamed of driving a car like this into out High School parking lot.

With Auto World bring us this car’s successor — the Dodge Stealth — and so many companies creating new castings of the Mitsubishi 3000GT (from Hot Wheels to Tomica) I was hoping this was coming.

The only decent Starion out there is an older Tomica made of unobtanium. It will be great to have these in the collection.

I'm stoked for this. I need as many as I can get, both for roached-out StarQuests and pristine ones.

      Very nice indeed.
Due to the recent budget cuts,
the rising cost of electricity, gas, and oil, plus the
current state of the economy, the light at the end
of the tunnel has been turned off.

I had a new Conquest every year they made them beginning in 1984. That first car was a blue automatic. Later they were all TSI's.

Wasn't Mitsubishi one of the first companies to have the digital speedometer?

Very nice Starion/Conquest. Chrysler Corp's partnering with Mitsubishi goes back to the days of the Dodge Colt so maybe there will be one in the future?

Sometimes I think I like the resin prepros more than I like the production releases....

(I'm fascinated by 3D printers and what they can do....wanted one for myself until I figured out what I like about them is they can reproduce replicas of something you might not have possession of...if you buy 'patterns' from someone who has done that preparation...or can design patterns yourself.)

They are looking fantastic - especially with the accurate rims on the red one (maybe it's the angle on the white and raw ones, but they don't look quite the same).
