I like the old one. I'd actually like to get the yellow variation of the old one, whether it's a repaint or not. I think it looks good in yellow, but definitely prefer the old one.- Jeff

There is a nicer quality of construction in the old one. The old model is not terribly accurate in the details, but it looks like a much sturdier toy.Comment

The vintage Lesney version of the Ford GT-40 was the model that really inspired me to collect Matchbox and other die-cast cars. Great memories, to be sure!Comment

The Earlier 'white' one is a slightly different version of the GT40. Being the 1964 Prototype. The newer version is a GT40 MK.I from 1965.Comment

Both of these 'original' versions are sitting in a car case near my feet. They both survived the childhood better than most of my civilian 'daily drivers'. I've probably still got around 50 of the Matchbox 'cars' I had in my early-to-mid teens (including the fire/police/ems models which are on permanent display in my 'toy room').Comment

The #41 GT was one of my first three diecast cars I got for my birthday. The other two were the #25 BP Tanker and #75 Ferrari. I no longer have these played with originals, but their upgrades started me on a collection that still grows.Comment
