  • What is Sticky?

Good evening all - here's a quick, and probably really stupid question - but what does "Sticky" mean?

Just realized my thread on Dioramas has become Sticky and is at the top of the list.

    Can I un-Sticky?

I was perfectly content with my old, un-Sticky life in the trenches with everyone else, and I don't want to be top of the list when there's so many other great threads in the Dioramas section.

    Cheers,

I think only mods can change that. But I think it should stay because your stuff really is super amazing!!

Members do not have the ability to Sticky or un-Sticky threads.

That action can only be performed by some of the Staff having specific keys.
The decision to Sticky a thread is based years of experience.

      Humble ... I like that ...

Another side note, some of the Sticky threads (Up to 6 at a time) appear on
the main page and scroll in the lower right corner.

If you really feel that strong about your position,
I do believe an "un-Sticky" can and will be performed
if you contact Admin. Just a hunch ...

I did it. I chose your thread to feature, it gets highlighted on the main board as Eric showed. I sticky it to make it easier to find when I change it out later, as I do every so often. I ran into the problem of going through 4 and 5 pages of posts looking for a featured post, so since then I sticky it to make it easier to find.

If you don't want your thread featured, I will unfeature and unsticky.
The image file limits have been reset. Upper limits now are 100,000 when we have some images that exceed 5,000,000. I've set the pixels for no more than 1000 across the longest side, so if you resize to that all should be well. (The limits are larger than what I typically use, and my images turn out just fine, so I know it shouldn't be a problem)

            Thank you for your understanding.

oh. Oops. I unstickied it when Quog first posted.I figured it wouldn’t stray far from the top because it gets added to frequently.
              It’s a brilliant thread.

                Nope, that's great.

Thanks jt3 for explaining that, and thanks for choosing my thread as well.

                I'm honored to be sticky.
