  • Volvos - one Summer night

Another day, another show - and just when the record keeping was starting to get caught up.

The Volvo 164E is a Summer because the base says so. My only comment/question on that one is about the grille area, which seems to be missing something, or maybe that black space around the grille and headlights is the way it was made. Big cheer for the first Volvo 164 in the collection. It's one of my favorite cars. Came real close to buying a 1969 (low serial number) sedan in August. May still happen - who knows?
    • No. S691 Volvo 164E (white w/ chrome int, black base) "Volvo" w/ trademark logo on hood, roof rack [painted on roof], "164E / VOLVO" on trunk)
The other two models shown here appear somewhat generic, but my guess is Summer. Can anyone concur or refute?
    • No. 8802 Volvo 740 sedan (silver w/ chrome int and base, clear windows w/ green and yellow stripe on hood and roof). "1" on roof, "Safety" on hood. Baseplate: "Made in China / 8802 / 03/06"
    • No. 824 Volvo 850 wagon (gray w/ black int, blacked out windows [except for front door windows] black base, black lower body trim, six dual-spoke wheels, tow hook).

There are a couple of slightly different versions of the 164E from Summer.
The silver 740/760 is 'Summer' also, as you expected. The 850 wagon is by YatMing.

the gray with 824 is by yat ming.they probably made it for some other company because they left their name off of the base.

I don't think Yatming put their name on any of the 800-series cars.
