While in Albany, OR on 12/7/2019, I found two of the 2 Jet Z Legends Tour/Mattel Dream Team pick fighter-jet art car, and knew I had to make it better still & closer to the real car that wowed Mattel reps and made its way into 3-inch diecast.
As an artist and maker myself, I have the utmost respect for fabricators and mechanics who can turn a motley array of parts into a one-off creation, so I've been picking up stuff like the Thomassima III, Alien, Big Banana Car, and any other fantasy-appearing casting that has or had a real life counterpart when I see them. I put an hour's time into my 2 Jet Z, aging and weathering the body, detailing the wheels, adjusting the stance and tire treads, detailing the turbocharger and lights, and making that fabulous fighter jet canopy more realistic.
