  • Impy collection

Seriously considered this collection (vendor would not separate the models) but they would have come home and sit in a storage box. Don't recall seeing these carded before.

Oh my, that would have been so very tempting! Likewise, I don't recall seeing the Impy models on cards - just the neat boxes they came in.

WOW! I don't think I've ever seen them Mint-On-Card like that... and for only .88 each! Thanks for sharing the photo.

I've seen them on card before, not often and I don't have any. I would have snatched them up for resale even, if nothing else.
The image file limits have been reset. Upper limits now are 100,000 when we have some images that exceed 5,000,000. I've set the pixels for no more than 1000 across the longest side, so if you resize to that all should be well. (The limits are larger than what I typically use, and my images turn out just fine, so I know it shouldn't be a problem)

        Thank you for your understanding.

These blisterpack models of IMPY cars were marketed through a company called Physio-chem. I believe Physio-chem also marketed Majorettes (early on 1960s) in the USA.

but I bet the vendor didn't price them at 88 cents either!
I don't even have 1 of these cars but I would like to get the VW van

Probably asking a small fortune for that lot.

He was looking for $600, which was not far out of line when you figure what each one would sell for - especially those VW buses.

I was going to guess $500, but I had no clue what Impy prices were these days, let alone they are mint in what sounds to be uncommon packaging.

Yeah when you zoom in on the photo that name shows up. Even the peg holes were intact. Shoulda, coulda, woulda.

That's like $40 apiece. None of them are worth that to me. The buses might get that on a good day from someone else, but I don't see it in any of the others, including the Imperials. Half that price might be closer to what I would deem appropriate...but they aren't mine to sell.

I agree, Jeff, not out of line at all. I've been seeing these sell for good money recently on eBay. I have gone through various IMPY models and the prices seem to be increasing a little. The packaged ones are less common certainly, but at the same time it wouldn't be the bargain of the century with a quick turnaround. I've gotten to the point I try not to buy packaged ones as I don't want to destroy a time capsule and open it up, but rather keep it as a museum piece . . . for me, there is no point in maintaining a museum for one. Thanks for sharing these! I wish IMPY had been more successful as the models with their complete series moving parts had play-value greater than anything else out there.

at this time i would have to agree with Wes...600.00 for these 15 plus shipping is out of line.yes the 3 vw bus might bring in around 225.00.but then you would have to average around 35.00 each to break even.to invest 600.00 + to break even is not a good business plan to me.
