  • Recent Haulage (mostly Matchbox)

Plunder from a recent acquirementologist trek. Mostly Matchbox, but one or two other brands thrown in (Hot Wheels, Dinky [Atlas], Efsi, Impy, Yatming, Husky, Schuco, Wiking)

Chuffed to get the Volvo Container truck variations. Will show details in separate post.

WOW! Most of those look new/minty. Love seeing that regular wheels VW Van with the decal in nice shape. You did an awesome plunder job!

Thanks guys. Yeah, the Fiat was a honey. The purple Grand Prix had been on the wish list for ever too. Hope to take more photos soon and post here.

Quite a haul! That red VW looks factory fresh. That Hot Rod Lincoln is also sharp, considering how redlines tend to age. I spy some Impys in the mix, too.

Nice additions. Almost everything seems to be in great condition!
Especially like the Redline Lincoln and the Wiking MB LPS 1620 (we call that tractor rig "Kubischer" or "Kubische Kabine"). Great Rolls Royce models too.

The Lincoln Mk III was from a vendor who has real nice pieces, but expensive. I usually try to splash out, and buy one thing from him each year. The only thing with the red VW is a tiny piece of the front license plate decal is missing. It's been on the radar for a long time. Yes, Impywise, there are two M-B 220SE, one Volvo 1800, one Jaguar Mk X, and a Peugeot 404 (another one I'd been targeting for a while).

There were some real gems, some downright scruffy ones, and a few somewhere in the middle. Yeah, "cubic cab" makes sense for that Wiking tractor rig. That LP series (debut circa 1963) was a crisp, modern looking design. Always happy to pick up a few more Roll-Royce. Still need to get the older (#44) Silver Cloud (no glazing or interior). So far, the location/price/condition ratio has not worked in my favor. Something to look forward to which reminds me, there's another toy show tomorrow.

Holly Connolly! You hit the jackpot!
The image file limits have been reset. Upper limits now are 100,000 when we have some images that exceed 5,000,000. I've set the pixels for no more than 1000 across the longest side, so if you resize to that all should be well. (The limits are larger than what I typically use, and my images turn out just fine, so I know it shouldn't be a problem)

                      Thank you for your understanding.

Reaped some Volvo Container Truck variations on this trek. I like this one, and other variations exist in The Closeum.

More from the same sojourn. No particular order or meaning.

The Saab Turbo is new to me, the freeway tanker (Chevron variation) was clean and bright, and the design has grown on me (over many years). Was this cab design tied to something in the 1/1 world? The last shots include some nice oldies and color variations.

These oldies are quaint. Have a soft spot for the BEA coach - such a genteel toy! Will look for the #21-A Bedford "Glasgow" coach (pale green) so he is not so lonely. These were before my prime kid years, and unavailable at the usual haunts we shopped. Consequently, awareness is limited. May snarf better examples if they present themselves.
