    How To Do "Mentions"

    Please forgive the rookie question.

    How does one do a mention?

    I searched and dont see the answer.

    There are times that I wish to send a notification although
    without a post to quote thats off the table, and a PM is too much.

    Please advise.

      Not sure if I know what a mention is. Do you have an example you can show?

          You type an @ sign and the user's name. I was today years old when I learned this.

                  HAHA... I've been using the @ "user name", but I didn't know it was referred to as a "mention"

                      I also tried that by highlight/copy/paste with the @ symbol, however it does not work unless I paste as "Plain text".
