  • Majorette Tune-Up's 1969 Dodge Charger

Its always a great day when I can add a new casting of a 69 Charger.
I seen pics surface a while back and have been chasing one ever since.
Far as I can tell, they were offered in two different colors, purple and orange.
Usually packaging does not mean much to me, however made an exception
in this case and so will preserve it.

The wheel on top spins a quarter turn to open the box.

The image clearly shows a split front grill, although until I had the car in hand
it was still a mystery. Apparently the purple version is defined as "Rare"
Well I searched the globe and will say the orange is also what I would call rare.

That's great you were able to get yourself one Eric, looks good in purple too.
If you were taking a vote, I'd say, display without accessories.

I too prefer it without the accessories. It i sjust over a week from Halloween, and black, purple, and green fit in; but otherwise no.

It's a nice casting. Can't wait until the Hiace and Cefiro show up in the US or with a palatable price on OFAS.

Does the hood snap on and off rather than open with a hinge?

It is interesting and has definite play value. As you know better than anyone Eric, there is not a shortage of accurate '69 Charger castings, so this one is filling a lane that no other maker is in at the moment. I'd like it a lot more if the accessories weren't so "over the top" in neon green and exaggerated proportions.

Yes, it snaps on and off, no hinge.

Right on Thanks for the comments.

Yep the hood snaps off. Tell ya, I was nervous to pry it open.
Agreed the extras are a bit much, especially the colors.
Thats fine, I would rather have them compared to nothing.

The orange with a smiley face is so cool and a must have!

Although these other 3 versions are not Tune-Ups,
                    they are nice.

Nice looking collection of new adds Eric,
I see no orange with smiley face in the group though, I take it you are still on the hunt for it.

The orange with smiley face is in the family photo of 3.

Here is a pic and link with a detailed description.
