I found this casting today at an antique mall in Coburg, Oregon, the price was a very palatable $8.00 USD. This is a Zylmex (possibly Motormax reissue of the Zylmex casting) "Z Wheels" 1/24 scale 1986-89 Porsche 928S4, with the authentic color scheme of Code M5L Tahoeblau Metallic over Code P940 Cashmere Beige partial leather interior, and really well-done for a casting that was designed in the late 80s/early 90s by a "budget" diecast brand.
The 1/24 range introduced in the early 1990s was likely one of the biggest contributors to the 1995 liquidation/bankruptcy of Zylmex, but it did provide a decent casting bank to work with when Motormax bought the Zylmex molds/dies.
I don't generally do large scale anymore, but between this and the 1/32 Cadillac carved panel hearse I picked up a while back to replace my damaged one, I couldn't resist. That, and being an S4 with a 5-speed stick shift (no sticks in S4s starting in 1990), I guesstimated the model year as 1989, which is my year of birth.
The 928 is an iconic vehicle of its era, and all in all, it's one of my favorite large scale items
