  • Golden wheels Emergency die cast

These are some of my Golden wheels Emergency collection. I also have the police set that came with 4 police cars I think. My two favorite pieces are the red ALF ladder fire truck, and the Yellow paramedic rescue truck👍 They also have a white ALF ladder fire truck and a white paramedic rescue truck that I am on the lookout for😊 The ALF ladder fire trucks look identical to the Majorette ladder fire trucks. Are they Majorette knockoffs? I don’t really know but they look really cool and realistic😃

There is also another red ALF they did, not sure which one you have I think the FDNY, but there is the New York, and I believe the other is Chicago, and then the white you mention is Denver.I would say the model is a Majorette knock off, they are so similar.

There are also Crown Vics, that match each of the Tahoe's paint schemes, that you might want to hunt for too. I see you already have the matching FHP one there.

You're welcome....I just realized the hose real is black on the other red one, as opposed to yellow, that might be something to help identify it for you if looking at auction site pictures online for it.

The Golden Wheels ALFs were also made as promo models for quite a few different events and companies. I'm guessing they made blanks at some point and released the to the public. Here are a few of the promo models...

The CommerzBank version that I showed in another thread -

          A Penn State version -

and another promotional model made for the 2008 Bloomsburg Fair -

The rear had a decal affixed to it -

but the roof of the cab was tampo printed -

I wish I could find about 50 of the blank models!

On seeing the title of the thread, my mind immediately went to these guys.

These four castings also come as a taxicab set.

Golden Wheel has offered a wide variety of emergency models over the years - making good use of the casting they had. I have the four piece police set but never did come across the fire set when these were fairly easy to find. It sits on that never ending want list.

I only have this Golden Wheels Crown Vic police car with what appears to be a taxi sign painted up to be a lightbar.

It is actually a light bar based on a European model. The ends (where is blue) would contain the flashing lights and the center section would be a solid color and contain the motor mechanism or power supply for the lights. The center section in some cases was outfitted with graphics also.
