A little on the whimsical side, but still pretty neat.
I'm kinda wondering--how come no one really does static diecast trains anymore? Maisto had an absolutely brilliant, and finely detailed line. -
I believe this is all of them - part of a "wild west series" that also had a stage coach and river boat. I think the train was sold as separate pieces but also might have been part of a set.

Matchbox had some basic range trains in the 70's, still not scaled to real specs too well, but the colors weren't so bright.
I do kind of remember those Maisto trains, never added any, but they did seem really accurate looking, but maybe they didn't sell well, so they dropped them.DougComment
