  • On Clearance!

Shopping at Menards this morning and ran across this last GL BF Goodrich set for $4.84. I snatched it up real quick. Don't really care for the Vette, Jeep, or the Camaro, but needed the Modern GL Challenger. I will remove the BF Goodrich tampos from the doors and windshield though. All in all, that's like $1.21 each for a GL car!!!

Nice - stopped at the Bismarck Menards the other day and they had nothing at all in the way of diecast - but know stuff might still be coming to their "toy area".

Wow that's an amazing deal for GL, the store must have really wanted to get rid of it.

that's a steal- for whatever reason these diorama sets usually end up on sale/clearance sooner or later.

I didn't even know Menard's stocked diecast. We don't have any of their stores here in eastern Pennsylvania. However, I was out in Michigan and Indiana last spring and went past a couple of their stores, but I thought they were just another big-box home improvement store like Home Depot or Lowe's. Well, live and learn, I guess. Maybe next time.

they make buildings and other stuff too- there's a fire station front, a police HQ, etc. I don't have any yet, but I've got my eye on a duplex house (o scale). I usually use O scalefor 1:64- and try to customize the doors- to make them fit, but these are built ups- with a baseplate and figures glued on, so I'm worried I won't be able to work my magic with them...

Menard's only carries toys around Christmas time, usually starting in October. Around here they sold out of the GL sets rather quickly and I haven't seen any sets in the stores for the past couple months, EXCEPT on 12/23 I was in there looking for something else and walked past the toys and found this one and only set sitting on the shelf, but not on clearance:

My only guess is that an employee had maybe hidden this raw set in the back room for himself and then someone else later was told to put all the toys out to fill the shelves for last minute Christmas shoppers, and he found this one hiding and put it out.
