  • A Special Thank You to Site Administrators

I just wanted to take a minute to thank everyone for the time and effort you take to bring this great site to us. I have been a member for several years when it was Swifty's Garage and went through the transition period to where we are now at Diecast Garage. When I first joined, I found it very difficult to post pictures- so I didn't. Then when the TapaTalk period came, I found it easy to post, so I frequently did. Then when we changed over to the current format, I found it a bit clumsy and dropped off for awhile. I have seen a tremendous amount of effort has gone into making this site, user-friendly, respectful, and fun. I really enjoy having the opportunity to share things I find cool with other like-minded collectors. I know administration is frequently a thankless job, but I wanted to say a heartfelt THANKS! to all who make this happen.

Thanks, and you are most welcome. I've tried to keep and put together a good staff, and I've always considered this place an extension of Swifty's. I've said from the beginning, if Sean asked for the keys to the place I would give them to him, I'm simply trying to keep our community together and try to save the database that so many of us put so much effort into as a reference resource.

I realize there are other social media outlets around, other venues and websites, but there is something about a good old fashioned forum that develops a community of folks with something in common. We may not always all agree on everything, but frankly I think that is a good thing as long as we are respectful to one another. As Sean would say, it is the members that make this place what it is. I agree with him on that. So thanks are also in order for all of the members, you make this place what it is.
The image file limits have been reset. Upper limits now are 100,000 when we have some images that exceed 5,000,000. I've set the pixels for no more than 1000 across the longest side, so if you resize to that all should be well. (The limits are larger than what I typically use, and my images turn out just fine, so I know it shouldn't be a problem)

      Thank you for your understanding.

Thanks for taking the reins when Swifty bowed out to deal with real life, jt3 , Skwerl and jedimario (I'm sure there are other mods too...)

The board is currently as good as before Tapatalk laid waste to the old board and before activity started dropping off due to Faceberg about a decade ago.
