Yonezawa has or had a long history making high quality models, though most are of larger scale. There is a short run series that appears to have been an early challenge to the popularity of Tomica, though the models were slightly larger (and very hefty!). Chericas have a very devoted fanbase that keeps the value of collector grade models respectable.

This is the only racecar in the series if my memory is serving me. Some of the other models doubled as law enforcement and first responder variants of otherwise civilian models, all of which are native Japanese. With the rising interest in Asian vehicles, particularly vintage Japanese, Cherica along with early Tomica enjoy a widespread appreciation among collectors.

The image file limits have been reset. Upper limits now are 100,000 when we have some images that exceed 5,000,000. I've set the pixels for no more than 1000 across the longest side, so if you resize to that all should be well. (The limits are larger than what I typically use, and my images turn out just fine, so I know it shouldn't be a problem)

    Thank you for your understanding.

This is the Tomica for comparison.

jt3 & Motorcade - This casting needs a detailed custom project to create a good race car model.

🙂 You are more apt to find the Tomica, there is even an issue marketed as Aviva with one of the Peanuts characters driving.

Either the Tomica or Aviva are fairly easy to find and with a bit of patience can be found priced reasonably.

One would need the patience of Job to find a decent condition Cherica, any Cherica, in the same price range. While I haven't devoted the amount of time into Cherica as I have other lines, this is the only 382 I have ever seen from the Cherica line.
