  • An Old Gold Chevy

I got it for 4.99 from Walmart. The full size Chevys were found in lots of driveways, probably at least 80% of them, back then. I don't think it gets more American than this. This car is pretty darn big and very detailed.

Sharp looking Chevy - yes they were a common sight in many driveways across the country.

How did I ever let these Chevys get past me? Beautiful pictures and car!!
Due to the recent budget cuts,
the rising cost of electricity, gas, and oil, plus the
current state of the economy, the light at the end
of the tunnel has been turned off.

And a place of my own.....I started breaking into Crocodile Rock as soon as I read the title. Great old song and great pics of the Impala!

I love this song it has a 50s theme to it.

I've imagined the "Old Gold Chevy" in "Crocodile Rock" as a '46-'48 Fleetline Aerosedan or a '49-'51 of either Bel Air or Fleetline body style.

That sure looks good. A great color combo. I have several colors of that same casting, but not this one. I had to draw a line somewhere, although I would like to have this one...
