These are my Matchbox dodge Monaco police cars. I like this casting and they made quite a few color and wheels variations. I think I have all of the variations except one. It’s a light blue police car and I have not been able to find it yet. I believe it came in a 10 pack a number of years ago.

Another one of my favourite police car castings as well! My one regret with this casting is passing on the CHP version when I saw it in a store - I guess back then, I wasn't too into having duplicate models for some odd reason.Comment

That one Motorcade shows was a 9 pack exclusive wasn't it? While I do have the older 10pk issue in lt blue, I never got this later one, it might be the only one I'm missing, other than any promo or event issues.
I know I've shown this before, but I'm still, after many years, still hoping Matchbox gives us an old Detroit Police paint scheme with this Monaco, I know this is a different car, probably a Fury, but I believe it will look good enough to fit the era of these Detroit PD vehicles. I really like the Monaco, I hope Mbx keeps it going for years and years.

If you're into base or CCI variations the silver Sheriff car had a revised text update and was also used by the Pennsylvania Matchbox Collectors Club for their 2012 Christmas banquet model.

It’s a great casting, and definitely A car any of us grew up watching 70’s and 80’s shows and movies and relate to as it seemed every police car, as well as other service cars where Dodge Monacos.
I hope we see a Fire Dept version soon!Comment
